Morgan was one of the actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women that focuses on AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a member of the entertainment industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the chief fundraiser for other projects and also gave testimony to a special Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and the Board of Governors of APLA. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to be his substitute during AIDS occasions and has hosted an AIDS Awareness Special featuring news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS on Nightline. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. In the spring she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Then, she began the summer season with Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. Also, it included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Then she starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also been the only actress to appear in the psychological thriller of USA Network that earned some of the highest ratings that the network has ever seen.
